Job Description
Communications Lead Norway
The following job specification is written to reflect the core roles and responsibilities for a contractor in Norway to support local Oracle Public Relations
Work as part of the EMEA PR team, reporting to the North Region PR lead, and local marketing colleagues to reposition the Oracle brand to reflect the company’s and its customer’s transition to the cloud.
The role is to be the chief Oracle storyteller in Norway;
  • Adapting and localising global and regionally created materials, adapting them to local requirements
  • Sourcing and developing local stories, in particular about customers
Primary Tasks
  • Develop a strong internal network of relevant executive, sales and marketing colleagues at a local level to provide content and spokespeople that support the campaign objectives
  • Leverage existing relationships with business, technology and specialist (especially Finance, HR and Marketing) press to drive high impact outcomes
  • Support the identification and relationship management of relevant industry influencers
  • Develop local customer advocacy programs, leveraging channels such as interviews, press releases, social posts, blogs to show Oracle technology impact
  • Integrate the earned media campaign with social and owned properties to create an integrated and consistent story of Oracle in Norway
  • Provide to the local organisation an external perspective on trends, competitor activities and issues which impact Oracle in Norway
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and developments to provide insightful contribution to Oracle’s evolving business.
  • Developing execution plans and reporting back within standard formats on progress against plan
  • Monitor pre-defined KPI’s and success benchmarks to help the measurement and evaluation of activities.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in IT- or technology- PR with B-to-B focus
  • A storyteller, who understands the importance of humanising complex stories in multiple formats beyond the written word
  • Fluent Norwegian and English language skills
  • Knowledge, understanding and passion for social media platforms, communities and the opportunity these can present in a B2B environment
  • Team player, with the confidence to present new ideas back to management clearly and effectively
  • Creative, curious and enquiring mind. Willing to propose and test new ideas
