Our ambitions are to professionalize and to increase our quality and capacity in Supply Chain Management. We seek a highly skilled and dedicated employee to strengthen our supply chain management function.

As Senior Buyer in ABB, you lead the Supply Chain Management in your projects from tender to project completion. You will make us competitive by actively finding the right suppliers and negotiating the best possible bid. You will define Project Procurement Rules, establish Project Procurement Plan and oversee Order Placement Deliveries. Other tasks include Supplier Quality Issues, monitoring and forecast of spend, Claim Management, Project SCM reporting and Supplier Performance Evaluation.

You will be involved in projects of varying size and Scope, geographically spread all over Norway. Our customers perform their businesses in various fields, which means that the technology used also varies.


You as a person is business oriented with excellent negotiation skills. Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar positions. It is qualifying if you have experience from Civil or Installation projects. You are highly sociable and can create and maintain strong relations with colleagues, customers and suppliers. You are committed in your work and you have the ability to manage and structure your own time.

Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and Power Point. It is a requirement that you have experience with ERP systems.

Scandinavian language (Swedish, Danish or Norwegian) fluent and English is required.

You will be a part of Grid Integration Unit in Oslo, a unit within ABB Power Grids division. We deliver complete substations as well as upgrading existing Substations in Norway. Our responsibilities are primarily within high and middle voltage products, transformers, protection and control systems as well as building, installation and commissioning.
